The tablet market might not have many players with devices actually on sale yet, but that will soon be changing and of course RIM's PlayBook is one of the most anticipated. We've already seen various bits and pieces of information leak out and now it looks like we have some fimer pricing options too ahead of its Q1 American launch.
As has previously been discussed on the web the PlayBook will be launched in three flavours, an 8 GB version, a 16 GB version and a 32 GB version. Each will be exactly the same except for their storage capabilities and their price ...
The 8 GB PlayBook will set you back $399, whilst the 8 GB version will come in at $499. The 32 GB version is the most expensive at $599. Just to reiterate the previous point, apart from storage there will be no difference between the models. Crucially they all lack wireless internet access except for WiFi so you will have to tether your PlayBook to your Blackberry if you don't want to use WiFi.

Author: Serge Novikov Source: Windows Phone Dev Blog Translation by: Paul Smith
Many will be watching Microsoft's new Windows Phone platform closely to see how it fares now that it is out of the starting blocks. One of the most closely observed areas of the new OS will of course be its apps situation. More and more the number of apps and the number of developers a platform has is being used as a measure of how successful it has become.
Microsoft are saying that they have so far managed to attract some 15,000 devs to their platform, a far cry from the more established players to be sure, but still impressive given how fresh the platform still is. With the Windows Marketplace expected to pass the 3,000 app mark this week those 15,000 devs are at least a signal that the Marketplace should move well past the low thousands.
Microsoft has poured a lot of money into and lavished a lot of attention on their app market, with reports suggesting that they paid some devs up to $100,000 to bring their apps to Windows Phone. Clearly Microsoft recognises just how important the app has become to today's smartphone.

The much talked about Nexus S has popped up again, this time over at XDA-Developers. They were given access to some blurry images by an anonymous source, which show the device running Gingerbread, the next incarnation of Android and now confirmed to be version 2.3.
The device has a distinctly curved appearance and XDA-Developers are saying it will feature the following specifications:
Head on over to XDA-Devs to see the rest of the pictures.
