X10 On Sale In the UK This April    [ 04-02-2010 21:35 ]

The X10 is arguably the most eagerly anticipated Android handset so far this year now that Google's own Nexus has been released. However, there has been considerable debate over the launch date with commentators throwing in dates ranging from the end of last month (obviously not) to sometime in early March,. We already know that T-Mobile is going to be selling the X10 in Germany from April as will DoCoMo in Japan. April, as a general release date, gathered yet more momentum when Vodafone announced that it would stock the handset from April in the UK. Speculation as to why the February and March dates might have been missed (if they were ever even in the running) range from assuming that Sony Ericsson are just being Sony Ericsson and that the handset would undoutedly suffer a delay to the more hopeful belief that it was to enable the handset to be launched with Android 2.0 and multi-touch. Only time will tell of course and it looks like that time will be April.
