iPhone OS 3.2.3 & Make Your iPhone Look Like An iPad    [ 03-02-2010 17:02 ]

A couple of interesting iPhone pieces today, the first of which is that Apple have released a firmware update. It's pretty minor stuff by the looks of it, although the file size of 291MB might fool you. It's mostly bug fixes and of course the never ending duel with the jailbreak community. The biggest feature in the update is that the battery indicator has been made more accurate ... we said it was a minor update. Perhaps of mor einterest is the video below, which shows you how to make your iPhone look like an iPad.

Android Figurines - From the Pages of 'These Are Freakin' Cool'    [ 03-02-2010 16:38 ]

Not strictly phone related I know, but these things are just too cool to ignore. Google has teamed up with artist Andrew Bell to release a line of Android robot figurines. Initially there will be twelve different designs, each coming in a wrapped box so you don't know which you're getting (presumably the idea is to get people collecting and swapping them). Each figurine is 3 inches tall and the head and arms move; you can expect them to be available some time around the 10th of February. What would you use them for? Showing off your love for Android perhaps or your fascination with tiny robot statues or they could even be used to annoy your iPhone owning colleagues by leaving them on their desk. Either way, they're pretty awesome!
