Mysterious Moto Androids Appear    [ 20-04-2010 18:50 ]

There's not much to go on here apart from these images, but the Chinese site they were found on apparently states that they are engineering prototypes. One of the handsets, we're not clear which, apparently goes by the codename ZN4. Beyond that paltry amount of info we can't say much more, apart from the fact that the handsets run Android of course. Ejoy the pictures for now, but keep your eyes peeled for these handsets in the coming weeks/months, no doubt more leaks will follow, someone might even leave one in a bar.

X10 WiFi Disconnect Mystery Solved    [ 20-04-2010 17:26 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: SE-NSE     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Some X10 owners (myself included) may have noticed that the handset seems to have a problem maintaining a WiFi signal. Essentially the handset connects to WiFi, but will then disconnect and reconnect constantly making it nigh on impossible to actually use WiFi. Well the intrepid boffins over at SE-NSE have apparently figured out the cause ... low cell signal reception. Whenever the X10 looses the signal from the mobile network WiFi disconnects and then reconnects some 10-20 seconds later. When the handset amanges to re-establish a signal from the mobile network WiFi will again drop and reconnect. As you can imagine this is very frustrating for X10 owners, but so far there has been no official word from Sony Ericsson, indeed it isn't even officially acknowledged as a problem.

MikLSP from SE-NSE has posted up two videos deomonstrating the phenomenon:
