Video: X10 Supports Multi-Touch After All?    [ 21-04-2010 18:23 ]

There seems to be some confusion over whether the Sony Ericsson X10 has multi-touch or not, or at least whether it can physically support multi-touch. The story started with users being told that the X10 could support multi-touch and that it would be enabled at some point in the future through an update. Then Sony Ericsson said that the handset couldn't in fact support multi-touch and thus no amount of firmware updating would impart multi-touch capabilities to the X10. Just last week mobile.co.uk, a subsidiary of Carphone Warehouse (one of the largest mobile retailers in Europe) posted up some info saying they had a man 'on the inside' who had apparently told them that the X10 did support multi-touch after all and that it would make an appearance some time in the second half of the year.

Well yesterday SE-NSE posted up a video they found on a Japanese website of someone apparently using multi-touch on an X10. It isn;t clear if the person in the video actually make a multi-touch gesture or not, some have commented that the gesture made would be interpreted by the handset as a double tap and thus it isn;t true multi-touch.
