The 1.6 update for Android has only just recently been made available to dev handsets so the Android community at large won't have had a chance to see what the fuss is about yet. However, arsenito84, a chap ove ron YouTube, has kindly put together a walk through video for those of us without a dev handset. The video is around 9 minutes long and gives a pretty good overview of what's ne win 1.6. The changes seem to be mostly background stuff that improves performance etc. The new look app market is on show in the video and video and picture capture seems to have been improved too.

The N900 may be many things to many people, but one particular use for Nokia's smartphone come internet tablet that probably occurred to many people, or at least hadn't occurred to them as being something that would work really well, is that of a SNES emulator. Well Urho Konttori, Project Manager at Nokia, has rigged his N900 up as just that, a SNES emulator. He's also hooked up a Wiimote through Bluetooth and got the whole shebang working through his television. Watch the video and see just how uber the whole thing is.
