Sony Ericsson Changing Music Forever on 21st September?    [ 15-09-2009 14:59 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: IntoMobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Sony Ericsson are holding a press event on 21st September, most liekly to announce a new product. The event is being described with the cliched idea that it will change the way you listen to music forever. Maybe that's too cynical because it could just be that Sony Ericsson really are going to announce something so revolutionary that it really will change the way we listen to music forever, but then again it could just be a new handset that does a decent job of playing music. At any rate we'll find out on 21st September. You can check out (the rather bare) website here and sign up for the webcast.

HTC Hero Smooth As A Peach With New Firmware    [ 15-09-2009 13:48 ]

Author: Serge Novikov   Source: Engadget     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The HTC Hero has gained a lot of praise since being released earlier this year and rightly so. It up'ed the ante for Android handsets and brought aesthetics as well as features to the Android lineup. One of the biggest factors in its success was its SENSE UI, which has garnered almost universal acclaim. However, for all the plaudits it has received there remained one big criticism, the UI was simply too slow and jittery for comfort. As Hero users have probably known for a while now there is a fix for it and it's officially available at last. The latest firmware doesn't actually seem to add much that's new to the Hero, but importantly it does address the UI issues. Don't just take my word for it though, in the video below you can see that everything looks a bit more fluid now.
