Hero Update Available ... But Not For Orange & T-Mobile Customers    [ 17-09-2009 20:06 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: Pocket-lint     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

There's good new and bad news for British HTC Hero owners. The good news is that there is a firmware update available. The bad news is that T-Mobile and Orange branded devices can't use it. Rather both Orange and T-Mobile are testing their own versions of the update, which will be rolled out in due course. T-Mobile informed Pocket-lint "The update is currently being tested and will be issued to customers when it is ready. There is no indication of a time frame for this as yet, but we will let you know as soon as we have any more information." The party line doesn't seem to be washing with the masses though as T-Mobile customers have been bombarding T-Mobile;s forums with complaints, racking up around 30 pages worth so far. For their part Orange are saying that their PR team are looking into the matter. It looks like we'll have to settle for playing the waiting game in the meantime ...

Author: Serge Novikov   Source: Engadget     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The HTC Leo has been the subject of much speculation describing it as everything from the greatest phone ever to the Second Coming. As details have slowly trickled out we've learned that it features a Snapdragon 1 GHz processor, runs WinMo 6.5 and features a revamped TouchFlo 3D UI. Well here we can see Leo show off its multi-touch capabilities thanks to the fine chaps over at PocketPT. Impressive? It certainly looks it! Bring on Leo!
