American Hero to Loose Chin?    [ 01-09-2009 18:35 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: Pocket-lint     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The HTC is one of this year's biggest handsets and not only received a warm welcome from the Android community, but from mobile phone fans in general. However, one aspect of the Hero that seemed to divide opinion was its 'chin', the gently sloping bottom part of the handset. Some like it, some didn't. Well Chinese mobile site 8080.net is claiming that a CDMA version of the Hero bound for the States will do away with the chin completely and infact sport a different look to the Hero we all know and love. The specs are apparently the same as the HTC Hero2000, including the Sense interface that has won rave reviews, but the Teflon coating seems to be facing the axe. Whether it's an entirely different handset to the Hero2000 though is still open for debate.

The Blackberry Storm2's release is imminent and as we get closer to the day itself we see more and mor epictures and videos appearing. This particular video is a little bit extra special though because it showcases the Storm2 against the original Storm. The narrator on the video talks us through a list of reasons why the Storm2 is better whilst showing off the two ahndsets. The main points are looks, Wi-Fi, memory, touchscreen typing, and overall speed of the handset. Most of the reasons given are pretty solid, but the first, appearance, is very much a subjective issue so it's hard to say what people will prefer. Anyway, enough talk let's get into the video:
