Comes With Music Doesn't Come With Many Customers    [ 16-10-2009 18:43 ]

Author: Ivanov Konstantin   Source: IntoMobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

New figures for Nokia's Comes With Music service reveal that the service still hasn't caught on and looks to be very much struggling. After a year of sales, and rather fumbled start in the UK, Comes With Music has managed to wrack up little more than 100,000 customers; 107,227 to be exact. Nokia is putting the blame squarely on poor advertising, but given that the service has seen widespread advertising in retail outlets and other media that seems to be a somewhat weak argument. Music Alley had the subsciber numbers for various countries leaked to them and they are as follows:

  • UK - 32,728
  • Singapore - 19,318
  • Australia - 23,003
  • Brazil - 10,809
  • Sweden - 1,101
  • Italy - 691
  • Mexico - 16,344
  • Germany 2,673
  • Switzerland - 560

Note the extremely low numbers for Italy and Germany where the service launched in April and May respectively. The UK heads the pack, but has also had the service up and running longer than any other country on the list. It's a pretty bad report for Nokia and makes you wonder just how long they'll drag this out?
