What's more, these devices look like no other WM-based phone before them. On the whole, the devices' front plates look sleeker than previous offerings, with bigger displays, more streamlined casings, and there are fewer buttons to be seen, not to mention they aren't as big as has been seen in previous communicator devices.

Apparently, Motorola are going to be phasing out Windows Mobile-based handsets, in favour of devices running on Google's Android OS. The company will be selling fewer devices running on Windows Mobile in the next few years, then gradually phasing out Windows Mobile devices, and switch to Android completely. As it stands right now, it looks that the company's recently announced A1300 will be their last handset to run on the Windows Mobile platform. To add to that, the company is planning to layoff around 50% of their employees, which may begin later on in the week.

Apparently, the next handset from Palm that will run on the newly introduced webOS, will be the Centro 2. The Centro 2 is said to have similar dimensions to that of the original Centro, but, the Centro 2 will, unlike the Centro, have no hardware QWERTY keyboard, instead, ditching it, in favour of a spacious touchscreen, to take full advantage of the webOS. The Centro 2 will apparently ship sometime in the Autumn season, and be taken up by US network Sprint. As of now, these are the only details available regarding this rumoured handset.

LG are apparently preparing a high-end music handset - the KM900. It joins the company's other music-focused handsets - the KM380, and KM710, but will be a more feature-rich handset. Whilst technical specifications are sparse at the minute, and only mockups of the phone are available, it's possible that LG will present the KM900 at the Mobile World Congress, to be held between the dates of the 16th-19th of next month, in Barcelona, Spain. Technical specifications should include:
