Nokia Promises Symbian Revamp For 2010    [ 02-12-2009 19:13 ]

Nokia have commited themselves to the Symbian platform for the foreseeable future at an investor's conference. The big Symbian talk to come out of the Nokia Capital Market Day is that Symbian is going to be re-worked to improve its user interface with two major milestones being promised for 2010. Nokia's CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said "In 2010, we will drive user experience improvements, and the progress we make will take the Symbian user interface to a new level". Nokia's first priority apparently being to improve the user experience, an area where they have arguably lagged behind in recent months with the growing dominance of the iPhone and Android and a resurgent WinMo platform. With a commitment to looking at how users operate, and indeed enjoy, their devices Nokia may just make Symbian the OS of choice for the mass smartphone amrket again.

The Photoshop app has proved very popular in America, spending around three weeks at the top of the free apps chart and garnering largely positive reviews in the blogosphere. The app itself allows the user to edit pictures on their iPhone, apply filters as well as share images through Adobe's Photoshop.com website, an option that comes with 2 GB of free storage. The app should be available now so go check it out.
