Excitement over the forthcoming Storm2 has slowly been building over the past few months as specs have been leaked and the odd pictures have surfaced. Well today we get a better look at the handset with some new spy shots that have leaked onto the net. The Storm2 pictured in these shots is the Vodafone variety of the handset and is running on Vodafone's German network. The handset comes with Wi-Fi, the lack of which was one of the biggest gripes that users had with the original Storm.

Regular readers of this column will of course remember the recent article mentioning new finger friendly buttons in the latest build of WinMo 6.5, well now there's a video of the new build to showcase its finger friendly capabilities. It has to be said that the build is still looking a bit rough around the edges, but of course the polish will come out before the final release candidate. Motorola Developing Web-Centric UI - 'Blur' [ 11-08-2009 13:55 ]

Motorola is taking another step in its comeback by developing a customised UI for its Android handsets. The custom UI, apparently named 'Blur' is said to be similar to the webOS Palm developed for the Palm Pre. Blur will combine social networking and contacts into a single page in a move similar to HTC's Sense UI on the Hero and Palm's webOS. Blur will also support OTA updates, again similar to the afore mentioned platforms from HTC and Palm. The question for Motorola is how well received Blur will be. In all honesty it is unlikely to garner the attention webOS did unless Motorola really pull something out of the bag, but at any rate it's an important step in turning the company around and making it a serious force in the market again.
