WinMo 6.5 Gets More Finger Friendly    [ 10-08-2009 15:18 ]

Author: Ivanov Konstantin   Source: Engadget     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

WinMo, or Windows Phone as it will soon be known, hasn't been known as the most finger friendly mobile OS. In fact as far as mobile OS go it's arguably been the most unfriendly towards anything but stylus use. With 6.5 though we've seen a steady move towards better support for finger interaction over the stylus and with these latest pictures we see another move in that direction. You will notice along the bottom a series of buttons that look meant for pushing with a digit. There's no word at the present whether this is a permanent feature or just something being trialled although the buttons do look a bit rough around the edges it has to be said. Still it would be nice to see them kept in if they make using WinMo easier.

Moto Morrison: Mino Spec Leak    [ 10-08-2009 14:36 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: Engadget     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Motorola's long awaited Morrison handset has had a bit of a leak (again). This time it's a partial specifications list that's trickled out onto the tubes. Don't get too excited though because the specs aren't all that exciting. The processor is a 528 MHz effort and there's 256 Mb of RAM. Essentially it's the same setup as the G1 and the Magic and the Hero. It's important to note that Morrison isn't aimed at the ultra high-end of the market, but even so it seems that all Android handsets have to use these same set of specs. On the other hand, given the relative success of previous Android handsets Motorola may be looking to play it safe at a time when they are in something of a precarious position.
