Author: Irina Turina   Source: Pocket Lint     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The popular TV & radio magazine from the BBC, the Radio Times, has launched an iPhone application. The application, as you might have guessed, allows the user to browse tv & radio listings; 400 channels and stations are listed and the listings cover a week long period.

Users can customise the app to suit their viewing/listening habits. The app can of course be found in the app store. Sadly it isn't free coming in at £1.79.

The V21 firmware update for the Nokia 5800 looks to be finding its way into the world at large. The main improvements in the update apparently revolve around the handset's camera and in general performance upgrades.

The update appears to already be available in Hong Kong and possibly Pakistan as well. The rest of the world shouldn't be far behind (hopefully).

Strong Year Ahead Forecast for Android    [ 21-04-2009 12:57 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: Computerworld via Mobile Burn     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, has forecast a good year for Android, Google's mobile OS. Mr Schmidt is looking forward to a very strong year for Android and that we should expect 'quite significant' new announcements concerning Android partnerships and products.

Various manufacturers have already commited to the Android platform with Samsung alone set to release three Android powered handsets this year. It's not just mobile phones either, it's rumoured that it will appear in netbooks too, possibly giving Windows XP a run for its money.
