Hot off the heels of their public beta release, Nokia has released version 2.0 of its Maps application. It is primarily for smartphones, such as the N78, but is available on other models too. Its many features, such as satellite view, traffic data, and a significantly revamped UI mean that it can be used instead of an in-car GPS system. Also, there are many downloadable packs – features available include guides to various city's, and voice-guided directions, for destinations. Quite an impressive feature set, making for a nice GPS system that fits in your hand. Although at the end of the day it is not free.

The demand for NAND flash memory appears to be on the decline, even though Apple are ordering large quantities from Samsung, which will no doubt increase the sales of the chips, in the coming two months at least Furthermore, demand increased somewhat, when Apple placed orders some time ago, but this is not the case this time around. Prices for NAND flash memory have not dropped as much as they should – a factor could be that supply of the chips is quite limited. May has always been a somewhat slow month for selling products, NAND flash memory is no exception, Flash chips are at the price they currently are, due to the fact that in April, demand for the chips were high – supply and demand, as it goes. The NAND flash memory should steadily go, until the end of the year at least.
