LG Electronics has released LG-SH240 handset on the Korean market. It is designed for 3G networks and supports HSDPA. The device is packed in a metallic housing and its touch panel under the display is coated with special silicon textured material resembling leather. This adds the impression of leather touch, says the manufacturer. As for the form-factor, LG-SH240 comes with a slide-out numeric keypad. It incorporates a 2-megapixel camera for picture shooting, a frontal camera for video calls, an MP3-player, an expansion slot and Bluetooth interface. The “leather” handset is available in Korean stores for 400 000 Won (i.e. $400).

LG Electronics site has shared a picture of a not yet announced KT220 mobile phone. Taking into account the index and pictures available we assume it belongs to an entry-level class.
The source hasn’t provided other details on the product – however the picture hints at a 1.3-megapixel camera and a “a la Razr” keyboard (with call and player buttons not featuring this style).
