Ed Colligan, Palm's CEO, unveiled some details on new Treo communicators at the company’s press conference devoted to last quarter financial results. Reportedly, the new models will come out late in summer 08. Company’s profit dropped by 24% last quarter, while Palm Centro sales grew unprecedented high. Palm expects to develop success by launching Palm Centro in Europe and the US with other operators (the device debuted with Sprint). By the end of summer we’ll see the Treo update – a high-end communicator powered by Windows Mobile. It is likely to have 800w index. Unofficial sources report the support for CDMA EV-DO Rev. A, Wi-Fi networks and GPS.

Phone Arena has posted pictures of a new handset VU30 by Motorola. The device will be released by Verizon Wireless, a CDMA carrier on the North American market. Thus we can assume the VU30 will work under the very CDMA networks.

Some info and a picture of a new SE phone have leaked to the world web. This is a mid-low device codenamed Emelie, says the source. It features a 240x320x262K color display and a 2-megapixel camera. We’ve got only a piece of the full image depicting a pair of buttons and no hint on the form-factor. According to the description, Emelie is dressed up in a metallic housing with 18 buttons – send and end buttons are black and separated from the rest buttons with a silver line. There are also four navigation keys, an orange backlit joystick and a menu-dedicated button. Emelie weighs some 100 g. The company set the retail price in the range of €150-200.

Gizmos.es has posted new details on a new not yet officially announced phone - Motorola ZINE ZN5. Reportedly, the ZINE ZN5 comes with a 5-megapixel camera and ModeShift interactive touch keypad like the ROKR E8 (the ModeShift changes keys backlight depending on the user mode).


Currently unveiled specs of Motorola ZINE ZN5 are as follows:

LG Electronics has announced the release of LG-KF510 handset to the main world markets. This is a stylish ultra slim slider announced at the Mobile World Congress in February 08. It attracts attention with its design: touch control panel under the display, metallic housing in dark grey or red colors and 10.9 mm slim form. You can operate the device with the backlit touch panel and the brand new Interactive Touch Lighting system. The KF510 incorporates a 3-megapixel camera with flash and an integrated MP3-player. The fashion handset hits the stores in Europe, Latin America, the Near East, Africa and Asia late in March 08.
