As expected, today, Sony Ericsson announced three entirely different devices – the S302 mid-end cameraphone, mid-end F305 gaming phone, and high-end C905 camera phone. The F305 is mid-end gaming-centric device, one of its strongest points is its built-in accelerometer, allowing you to control games by tilting the handset around. There's also a set of gaming keys too – the d-pad, and two buttons above the screen, much like the W550.

The specs of the F305 are as follows:

  • Connectivity: Quad-band GSM, with EDGE support
  • Display: 2.0” 176 x 220 pixels, showing up to 262,144 colours
  • Camera: 2 megapixels
  • Music player formats: AAC and MP3
  • Memory: 10MB built-in, with M2 Micro card slot
  • Extras: Bluetooth 2.0, with A2DP support, FM Radio, built-in accelerometer
  • Dimensions: 96 x 47 x 14.6 mm
  • Weight: 97.5 grams

Sony Ericcson outs C905 - high-end camera phone    [ 17-06-2008 11:58 ]

Author: Serge Novikov     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

As expected, today, Sony Ericsson announced three entirely different devices – the S302 mid-end cameraphone, mid-end F305 gaming phone, and 8.1 Mpix high-end C905 camera phone. 8.1 MP is the highest number of megapixels on a phone to be available in Europe. The camera sports features we've seen in previous cameraphones from Sony Ericsson, such as auto focus, face recognition, image stabilization, BestPic, and red-eye reduction, and adds some more sophisticated feats to the standard package, like Smart Contrast for camera, DLNA for connectivity (hooks up with other electronic devices over Wi-Fi) and aGPS for navigation.

The specs of the C905 are as follows:

  • Connectivity: Quad-band GSM, with EDGE support
  • Display: 2.4” 320x 240 pixels, showing up to 262,144 colours
  • Camera: 8.1 megapixel camera, with Xenon flash, autofocus, smart contrast, image and video stabilizer, red-eye reduction, and BestPic
  • Music player formats: AAC and MP3
  • Memory: 160MB built-in, with M2 Micro card slot – 2GB card in-box
  • Extras: Bluetooth 2.0, with A2DP support, FM Radio, Wi-Fi, DLNA, GPS and aGPS
  • Dimensions: 104 x 49 x 18 mm
  • Weight: 136 grams
