LG has released the KF300 Wine handset, which is aimed slightly below the middle-aged mobile phone users – 30-40 year old people. It has a largeish screen, for those that struggle to see their handset's screen. Because it's aimed at those who struggle with small screens, it's to be presumed that the fonts are large, or can be changed easily.

Technical specifications include:

  • Connectivity: Tri-band GSM, with EDGE and GPRS
  • Display (internal): 2.2”, QVGA resolution, showing up to 262,144 colours,
  • Display (external): 1.3” 128 x 160 pixels, showing up to 262,144 colours
  • Camera: Two megapixels, with autofocus
  • Memory: 10MB internal, with MicroSD card slot
  • Extras: Bluetooth 2.0, and USB 1.1 connectivity, Flash-based UI, FM Radio
  • Dimensions 98.8 x 49.5 x 16.2 mm

Samsung i8510 announced, re-named INNOV8    [ 25-07-2008 01:01 ]

Author: Klimov Oleg     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Source: unwiredview As expected, Samsung has announced their i8510 handset, and renamed it the Samsung INNOV8 – that's not just slang terms for innovate, but the 8 has meaning too – as, what looks to be a successor to the G810, specs-wise at least, packs in a whopping eight megapixel camera lens – although, unlike the G810, optical zoom, and an Xenon Flash are not present. Still, optical zoom and cameraphones don't seem to mesh well, and it adds bulk to the handset. The Xenon Flash is replaced by a dual LED. It will hit Europe next month, for approximately €7500.

Tech specs are as follows:

  • Connectivity: Quad-band GSM, and dual-band WCDMA
  • Operating System: Symbian 9.3 S60 3rd Edition FP2
  • Display: 2.8", QVGA resolution showing up to sixteen million colours
  • Camera: Eight megapixels, with autofocus, image stabilization and face, smile, and blink detection, Dual LED Flash
  • Video recording: QVGA @ 120 fps or VGA @ 30fps, with built-in editor
  • Memory: comes in two types – one with 8, and one with 16GB internal memory, both expandable with Micro SDHC – up to 16GB cards, ala the i900
  • Extras: Built-in GPS receiver and accelerometer, Bluetooth version 2.0, with A2DP support, stereo speakers, with 3D sound, DivX video playback, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, with RDS, DLNA, 3.5 mm jack
  • Dimensions: 106.5x53.9x17.2 mm
  • Battery: 1200 mAh

Nokia adds three more N-Gage compatible handsets to its range    [ 25-07-2008 00:59 ]

Author: Klimov Oleg   Source: Engadgetmobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Nokia's N-Gage range of supported handsets has today seen three new additions – the N96, N78, and the 5320. This adds to the following supported handsets: N81, N81 8GB, N82, N95, and the N95 8GB. More devices, like the N93, and N93i will be made compatible at a later date. As you can see, the 5320 is the first non-N-Series of handsets to be supported, it's wise to assume more will follow shortly.
