Microsoft has released a Windows Live client for Windows Mobile platform. Now mobile device users can get an access to Live family services. Here you can download the application directly from your smartphone browser. One client provides access to Live Hotmail, Live Spaces, Live Contacts and Live Search, besides you can locate the search engine panel on the Today screen. Windows Live services allow working with e-mail, blogs and start search local or GPS-based.

The Germany-based Nokiaport has posted the list of specs and a picture of a speculated Nokia’s first smartphone on S60 Touch interface. Codenamed the Tube it is expected to pop up under the name of Nokia 5800 Xpressmedia. The release of the phone will take place by the end of 2008, reports the source. The smartphone lacks any buttons and features a big touch-sensitive display ready for both stylus and finger operations.


The specs of Nokia 5800 Xpressmedia (Tube):

  • Networks - GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), UMTS/HSDPA
  • Display – 3.2” touchscreen, 360x640 pixels, 16M colors
  • 140 MB of onboard memory

  • GPS-receiver
  • 3.5-mm audio jack
  • TV-out
  • Dimensions – 111x52x14.5 mm
  • Weight - 104 g

This time we’ve got hands-on with a wristwatch cellphone by a Chinese maker. The Cool G108 differs from the similar devices in the opening mechanism – flip it up to reveal a color display and a keypad with the buttons round the edge. When the flip is closed you can see only a small monochrome display with service info, such as time, signal strength and battery level. The Cool G108 watch-phone features a set of specs customary with a mid-range cellphone: a camera, a media player, Bluetooth and USB support.
