Today, Palm announced that it had sold one million Centro's, in the space of five months, since it began shipping, in October of 2007 on Sprint (US). These days this lightweight and portable smartphone is available in Hong Kong, Singapore, India, UK, Spain, German, Ireland, France and Italy.
It would seem that the Centro is a hit with young adult – women in particular. It's no surprise what a hit the Centro has been – given its $99 price tag – with most smartphones costing well above that. Of course, the feature set had to be cut down, in order to reach that price, but, you can't have everything at once.
