EcoBook from ASUS    [ 27-06-2007 15:48 ]

Author: Irina Turina     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

ASUS has introduced a concept of EcoBook ecological laptop. According to the manufacturer, the device is made of environment-friendly materials. It is packed in a bamboo-clad shell. Beyond its environmental matters the EcoBook stands out for design: it can undergo several treatments, making each EcoBook distinct from another. The advantage of the bamboo is that it is found in abundance, grows very quickly, and opposed to plastic it is biodegradable.

The EcoBook has successfully passed robustness test even under extreme conditions: it accompanied a Mount Everest expedition. The company provided no details on the mass production dates.
