Gigabyte Communications has announced the release of its GSmart t600 communicator. It was showcased at 3GSM Congress 2007. GSmart t600 is powered by Windows Mobile 6 Professional. The company positions the device as the world first communicator supporting digital TV.

Apple has officially announced that the iPhone will support YouTube clips. They can be downloaded to the phone via Wi-Fi or EDGE connection. Dedicated software will be preinstalled.

Reportedly, YouTube has been experiencing conversion of video to H.264 format to achieve higher quality and longer battery life when idle. According to Apple, there will be over 10000 video clips in this format available by the release of the iPhone, June 29, and the iPhone will be the pioneer mobile device that can view them. By this fall YouTube expects to make the whole source available in H.264.

The American operator Sprint has introduced a CDMA-handset SANYO SCP-3200. The device is packed in the clamshell form and available in 3 color solutions – Black, Blue and Rose. Today the South Korean company Pantech announced the start of sales of its slim (mere 9.9 mm) mobile phone IM-S230. It’s a slider supporting terrestrial DMB broadcasting.

It features a 2.2” display, DMB TV support, a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3-player, e-dictionary and document viewer.

Pantech IM-S230 will come out in two color solutions – White and Black. The price is expected to be $535.
