The development of the new version of IEEE 802.11n standard is on for some long time, but still it will take long to the final version. The approved draft version 1.0 had about 3000 amendments and notes. However it didn’t prevent many manufacturers from introducing compatible equipment.

The new version 1.10 is said to учитывать all these amendments. Probably, after the adoption of this version the full potential of 802.11n will be unveiled. In theory, it helps reach 300 Mbps transfer speed.
