Earlier today HTC has announced HTC Advantage (X7500), codenamed Athena - the name we kept stumbling upon for while. The device is running on Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Edition, but at that sports a huge (we mean that) 5-inch display, a built-in 8 Gb hard drive, a speedy CPU, GPS-module, 3 MPix camera, you name - basically, the X7500 packs it all.
The device comes included with a removable thumbboard that doubles as a shiled for the display - it features a transparent inset, covering up the screen's status bar. HTC VueFLO technology allows using the motion sensor for navigating currently open page..

Another new gadget coming from HTC's camp is HTC P3350 communicator, which is an Artemis-esque (HTC P3300) device laking GPS module - or so it looks and feels. HTC P3350 has also adopted RollR controls, which is a big plus. The communicator is positioned as a model tuned for handling multimedia content on the go. Apart from the standard suite of applications it comes boxed with HTC Media Hub, meant for managing music and video and making up ring tones. This model also improves upon HTC P3300 in terms of bundled flash-memory, yet matches its brother-in-arms when it comes to the operating system used - still Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition.
Specifications for HTC P3350:
HTC P3350 is due out in March.

Opera Software have announced plans to upgrade its mobile web browsing software by developing Opera 9 for mobile phones in all major platforms.
The company says it will incorporate the latest in PC browsing features such as Widgets and Intelligent Zoom to its upcoming Opera Mobile edition.
Opera 9 on mobile phones promises to add a new dimension to web navigation. Users will be able to seamlessly alternate between viewing modes to get a birds-eye perspective or dive into the content they want. Users have the choice to see an overview of a Web page or adapting the page to the width of the screen. As first seen with the Opera browser for Wii, Intelligent Zoom allows users to then zoom in directly to a selected area.
Widgets are small Web applications running outside of the browser and allowing users, manufacturers and operators to create and personalize services derived from Web content such as weather and traffic information, news and e-mail. Widgets offer Web applications that are instantly accessible on the phone without having to launch the Web browser, presenting dynamic and engaging content directly to users.
Opera's JavaScript and rendering engines are built for speed while enabling dynamic AJAX-based applications. Driving standards compliance, Opera Mobile has full DOM support and can smoothly run advanced Web applications on mobile phones.
