MBW-100: a Bluetooth-watch by Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson has announced the release of an interesting accessory for mobile phones – the Bluetooth Watch MBW-100. This is quite a stylish wrist-watch supporting Bluetooth 2.0 and some additional functions.
Its OLED LCD displays the info on the incoming call. You can decline the call by pressing a button. Besides you can operate the music playback on the phone (play, pause, next track), get the info on the incoming SMS and MMS and see the battery level. The watch will alarm the user when the watch is out of the Bluetooth-connection, so you’ll hardly lost your phone.
The MBW-100 is waterproof (up to 30 m deep, however there is no info on the dive time). The watch weighs 187.5 g. It can last for 7 days in the Bluetooth mode and 14 days in the analog watch mode on a single charge. The sales are scheduled for 4Q 2006. the recommended price makes up ˆ300, i.e. about $380.

SoftBank 705N – a slim phone by NEC

Sony Ericsson Walkman W958c and Z550a: 2 versions for China and America

Sony Ericsson Walkman W958c is a GSM/GPRS version of the W950 smartphone developed for the Chinese market. I’d remind you that the W90 supports GSM/GPRS and UMTS. Like the W950 the new phone is equipped with a 2.6” touchscreen LCD and powered by Symbian 9.1, UIQ 3.0.
Sony Ericsson Z550a is another version of the Z550 clamshell. It is meant for America and supports quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) instead of tri-band like the original model. Sony Ericsson Z558: the first not-Symbian phone with the touchscreen

Sony Ericsson has introduced 4 mobile phones. They are not brand new solutions, but each of them has something new. The Z558, W830 and W958c are optimized for China and South East Asia and the Z550a – for the American market.
The Z558 is a clamshell supporting tri-band GSM. It differs from the original model SE Z550 in a touchscreen LCD for manuscript input, the function is very popular in China. This is the first not-Symbian phone equipped with the touchscreen.
The phone features a 1.3-megapixel camera, 18 MB of memory onboard and a slot for Memory Stick Micro cards (up to 1 GB). It will be available in October.
