Today Nokia announced a new mobile phone Nokia 6085. It is positioned as a classical folding phone at an affordable price bringing balance to life.



Nokia 6085 is designed for GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) networks and supports EDGE data transfer standard. It is equipped with an internal 1.8” 128x160x262K color LCD. Its external LCD allows tracking info on incoming calls, time, signal and battery level.

Nokia 6085 comes with an integrated camera with video capture opportunity, but featuring only VGA resolution. The phone has a music player, an FM-tuner, a microSD slot and Bluetooth interface (stereo sound).

Talk time makes up 5 hours (a good performance), and standby time – up to 10 days. Measuring 92x46x23 mm it weighs 84 g. The recommended price for Nokia 6085 is ˆ175, i.e. some $222. The sales are scheduled for 4Q 2006.

Samsung Electronics is about to release a new lady’s phone – Samsung E570 dubbed Aqua Slim, which is to replace the E30 (Aqua). You can see the upcoming model on the photo below:

There will be plenty of color solutions for this phone. The E570 will be available late in November. The functionality of the E570 platform is similar to Samsung E900.

The American operator Sprint is about to release a new communicator Samsung IP-830w or Sprint International Smart Device IP-830w. It is similar to the SCH-i730 slider with the QWERTY-keybaord.

Being called “International” it can work under GSM/GPRS and CDMA (EV-DO) networks. The communicator is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone AKU 2.6, Intel 520 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM. There is an expansion slot for SDIO cards.

There is no info on the release date or the price.

Apple has introduced an update of iPod shuffle. According to apple, iPod shuffle is the smallest digital audio player. It is almost twice as smaller against the previous version. See the photos “before and after”:



It features aluminum shell with the clip, so you can easily attach it to the clothes. Measuring 41x27.2x10.4 mm (with the clip) it weighs 16 g.

The new iPod shuffle will be available with 1GB only. It can play music for 12 hours on a single charge. The recommended price is $79, the release will take place in October.

Now iPod nano player can boast of aluminum shell, longer battery life on a single charge (up to 24 hours of music playback), a brighter LCD and twice as much capacity (up to 8GB of flash ROM onboard!) for the same price.

Besides there appeared new shell colors – Silver, Rosy, Light Blue and Black. The recommended price for the 2GB model is $149, for 4GB - $199 and for 8GB - $249.
