The South Korean multimedia maker Digital Cube has announced sales of its PMPC (PMP+PC), i.e. the personal multimedia player with PC opportunities – the NetFront.

The NetFront is powered by Windows CE 5.0 OS and equipped with an integrated DMB receiver to watch terrestrial digital TV programs. The info is displayed on a widescreen 4.3” 800x480 TFT LCD. However the peculiar thing about the player is the opportunity of the wireless Internet access via the integrated WLAN module or plugged HSPDA.

iPod with the touchscreen in December?    [ 20-10-2006 18:58 ]

Author: Klimov Oleg   Source: www.gizmodo.com     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

With the link to a “very informed source” Trusted Reviews has distributed the info that the iPod 6 generation with the touchscreen will be announced in December. The player is said to have up to 480p resolution for comfortable watching of video files.

That’s why Steve Jobs doesn’t see a rival in the recently announced Microsoft Zune player. If the info is confirmed, the new stylish iPod with the wide- touchscreen won’t leave a chance for the Zune featuring cut Wi-Fi and 4:3 LCD.

Other specs are quite standard – a 4,3” widescreen LCD, 30 GB HDD, an SD slot, an integrated dictionary. Unfortunately, the player will be available on the domestic market only.
