The first lot of TabletKiosk UMPC sold out    [ 05-05-2006 11:59 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

TabletKiosk has announced the sales start of its ultra mobile PC called eo in the US. This device was announced late in March. The company positions it as the first UMPC available in the US. I’d remind you that Samsung presented its UMPC Samsung Q1 in the US on May 1, but the sales should start on May 7.

Unlike the Q1 based on Intel processor the new device works on VIA C7-M ULV 1 GHz processor. Thus the eo has a lower price starting from $899. Here you can find some details on possible configurations.

There is an interesting detail here, right after the announcement there was received impressive number of pre-orders, so the company had to announce the first lot of the eo had been already sold out, and now the company accepted orders for the second lot to be supplied late in May – early June.
