Analytics: Sony to lead the game console market till 2010    [ 21-03-2006 13:58 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The analytical company In-Stat has made a forecast that despite the competition Sony will keep dominating the game console market till 2010 included. However it might slightly yield to the competitors – Microsoft and Nintendo.

According to In-Stat, Microsoft will outpace Nintendo due to an earlier release of the new generation console (the sales of the Xbox 360 are on since the end of 2005). Nevertheless analysts predict the leadership of not yet released Sony PS3. I’d remind you, Sony has recently set the release of its PS3 for November this year.

Till 2010 Sony PS3 will take slightly more than 50% of the total market of next generation consoles, Microsoft Xbox 360 will get 28.6% and Nintendo Revolution – 21.2%.

Bluetooth-headsets are health-friendly    [ 21-03-2006 12:04 ]

Author: Klimov Oleg   Source: mobiletechnews     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

76% mobile phone users in the UK aged 16-24 complain of aching back, neck and head as a result of hands free use of the phone – when holding it between the shoulder and the head. A typical example of such use is a driver with both hands occupied.

18% of the respondents talk on the phone over 20 minutes per day, 88% of them combine this task with doing something else, in result they use the phone without hands involved. In such situation Bluetooth-headset is the simplest way to solve the problem. It allows talking on the phone without stopping other tasks, at the same time the risk for health drops to the minimum.
