E-TEN has introduced a multi-purpose device combining functionality of several mobile devices; a GPS-navigator, a DMB-receiver and an audio player. In addition the device called G500 can receive digital radio broadcasting.

The G500 is powered by Windows CE 5.0, Samsung 2440 400MHz processor and equipped with a 3.5” touchscreen QVGA LCD, 64 MB RAM and 128 MB flash memory. There is the support of Bluetooth 2.0 and an expansion slot for miniSD cards. Dimensions are 136.7x91.1x16.7 mm, its Li-Pol battery is capacious of 1300 mAh.

It has recently become popular with phone makers to cooperate with Internet portals. This time Nokia entered the cooperation with the leading Chinese search engine Baidu.com. In result on the Chinese markets, including mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, some S60 smartphones like Nokia N70, N90 will have simplified access to search at Baidu.com.

So, the devices with Nokia Mobile Search application will get special buttons to access Baidu.com. There will be the support of 4 most popular services – Web Search, News Search, Image Search and Baidu Post bar, the latter is the popular online-community, according to the press release. The pilot version of the application is available to download for free.

LG is preparing the release of its new slim phone called MG810. The device has been recently approved by the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). There is little info about it so far.

This is a folding phone 14.6 mm thick. It is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera and supports Bluetooth interface. The MG810 is designed for GSM/GPRS (850/1900/1800 MHz) networks, at least the version is approved by the FCC for the use in the US.

The sales are expected t start during next 6 months. The new phone is said to have an interesting function – external buttons to control media content will be sensitive to the warmth of fingers, so they won’t be active at an accidental touch, for example, when the phone rests in a pocket.

The Romanian company Topex has introduced at the recent CeBIT 2006 its router supporting HSDPA data transfer standard. According to the company this is the world first device of the kind. This is a multi-purpose device providing terminals the access to the Internet and the opportunity to make voice calls, and also it can carry out the functions of a Wi-Fi hot spot, a VPN-router, a firewall, besides it has 4 Ethernet ports.

The router is meant to be used in small and middle companies to establish wireless virtual private networks (VPN). It can also be used as a Wi-Fi hot spot in hotels, cafes, airports and so on.

Today Panasonic has announced its two new car DVD navigation systems with built-in TV-tuner – the CN-DS120D and the CN-D00D.

The senior model (the CN-DS120D) features GPS navigation, TV-program watching opportunities and the playback of DVD-Video disks with the support of multi-channel digital sound. While watch DVD, the user of the CN-DS120D can track the route to the SD card, and thus control its motion. The company supplied both products with maps on DVD for the GPS-system, an external GPS-antenna and a remote control.
