Transcend Information has announced the release of its popular MP3-player T.sonic 610 now with 2GB onboard. The T.sonic 610 is equipped with an OLED screen, an FM-tuner, a voice recorder, besides it can be used as an ordinary USB-drive. It can play MP3, WMA and WAV music.

There is the support of track part replay, recording of radio programs. The device has an equalizer with 7 preset modes and one to be tuned by the user. Measuring 70x34.5x15.5 mm it weighs 28 g with the battery. Its Li-Ion battery provides up to 14 hours of continuous music playback. The player can be recharged via USB. There are also versions with 512 MB and 1 GB onboard.

The Japanese company Green House has unveiled its new USB flash drive Pico Finger. Its name hints at the fact the drive is equipped with a fingerprints sensor to protect the stored date from unauthorized access.

The device can be also used as a PC key. There are several versions differing in memory size onboard: from 128 MB to 1 GB. There is USB 2.0 interface for PC connection. Dimensions are 77x22x9 mm and weight – 17 g. the sales in Japan are set for late March.

EQO Communications has introduced its software Mobile Instant Messaging for Skype. It is a part of Mobile Internet Phone Service for Skype for mobile phones supporting J2ME, which allows using GPRS to send/receive Skype-calls and from now on IM-messages.

Mobile Instant Messaging for Skype provides an opportunity to exchange text messages using mobile phones, start chats, check user status and have standard functions, such as Skype-calls, incoming Skype-calls control and synchronization of contact list. Currently Mobile Instant Messaging for Skype is available for free as Beta-version and supports more than 40 mobile phones by Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and so on.

Archos has announced its new MP3-player based on HDD, it is called Archos 104 and positioned as an available and ultra compact player. It is the heir of the popular Gmini XS 100.

The player is equipped with a 4GB HDD, a color 1.5” OLED LCD and supports JPEG images. It can play MP3, WMA, WAV and protected WMA. There is also the support of Microsoft PlaysForSure technology, which allows working with content from different online shops.

There is USB 2.0 interface for PC connection. It measures 91x43x14 mm and weighs 80 g. the shipments are expected to start in May. The recommended price for the US market makes up $149.95.
