Ricoh, the company specializing in digital image solution, and GlobalSat, a leader on GPS-technologies market, have announced their strategic alliance. In the framework of this alliance the companies plan to provide an opportunity to snap photos exactly locating the place, where the photos were made.

It can be done with the help of the GPS-receiver C-337 by Global Sat and the GPS photo camera Pro G3 Ricoh, introduced early in 2005. The GPS-receiver can be connected to the camera via the ÑÀ slot. The C-337 is based on SiRF Star III chipset, so the model is compact and features high positioning accuracy – up to 5 meters.
