Author: Verà Kozlova   Source: AVING     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

LG has introduced another slim handset – CYON LV2300. It is equipped with an MP3-player with control buttons on the front panel – you can’t see them on the picture, but they are under the external LCD.

The handset is 15 mm thick. It is designed for the Korean market (the CYON mark) and thus supports CDMA 2000 1x.

The device is positioned as a simple and slim clamshell. The design of the keyboard doesn’t resemble that of the RAZR phone, that’s quite original.

QDA Icon: a communicator with a 4-megapixel camera    [ 27-06-2006 09:39 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova   Source: CNETAsia     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The Singaporean company Qool Labs has unveiled its new product – QDA Icon communicator. It is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0. It has a candy bar form without a digital or a QWERTY-keyboard. The navigation pad is made in the style of the popular RAZR keyboard.

The device is equipped with a 4-megapixel camera with flash. This is unusual solution for a phone, compared with the standard 2-megapixel camera phones. By the way, there is a 4-megapixel camera in the ET980 communicator by Lenovo introduced last year. Besides QDA Icon is one of the first communicators with a CCD-sensor instead of CMOS, providing higher picture quality.

Its LCD features a 2.4” diagonal and QVGA (240x320 pixels) resolution. There is the support of Bluetooth interface and A2DP profile (to transfer stereo sound), and Wi-Fi wireless networks. The company promised to release QDA Icon by the end of this year.
