The Taiwanese company Gplus has made a Korean release of its DS810 cellphone. This is a light and slim slider (77 g and 17 mm) with multimedia functions.

It is designed for GSM networks and supports GPRS. The slider is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture opportunity, an MP3-player and a 1.8” 262K TFT LCD. There are 9 shooting modes.

In addition to good memory size, 64 MB, the device has a microSD slot (TransFlash). There is the support of USB interface (it’s possible to recharge) and a voice recorder, calendar, alarm clock, organizer.

Casio EX-S600D: an ultra compact camera supporting DivX    [ 26-06-2006 14:07 ]

Casio has announced a new digital still camera Exilim Card EX-S600D. It belongs to the series of ultra compact models, it is peculiar for its capability to shoot DivX files. Except for DivX its functions are almost the same as in the EX-S600 released last fall.

It has inherited a 6-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, Anti Shake DSP system, long battery life on a single charge – about 300 shots, and Past Movie function (the shooting of video begins 5 seconds earlier you pressed the record button.

Dimensions are 90x59x16.1 mm (13.7 mm in the narrowest part), weight – 115 g. The EX-S600D will come out in Europe late in June. The recommended price makes up ˆ399, i.e. about $500.

The Japanese company Sanrio has released a funny MP3-player for small girls made in the form of the popular Hello Kitty toy. It might be popular not only among small girls. Such design attracts not only kids’ attention.

There is nothing technologically special in it, something else is important. There is no LCD, the control is done by pressing parts of the Kitty.

The player supports the playback of WMA and MP3 files and the voice recorder. There is 256 MB of internal memory. PC connection runs via USB 2.0 interface. The Kitty measures just 56x35x20 mm and weighs 26 g.

Voxtel has announced that its RX600 phone is already available in shops. This is candy bar-shaped model in metallic shell. Its design has something in common with the fashion Nokia 8800, but Voxtel RX600 has a much lower price.

It is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture opportunity, an FM-radio, a media player (MP3/MPEG4), 64 MB of internal memory, an expansion slot for RS-MMC cards. Besides it supports Bluetooth 1.2 interface. Measuring 103x43x17 mm the RX600 weighs 75 g.
