Ultra mobile printer by Fujifilm    [ 01-06-2006 12:07 ]

Author: Klimov Oleg   Source: DC Watch     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Today almost any modern mobile phone is equipped with a camera, which provides quality for printing 10x15 cm photos. For this purpose some companies make compact printers.

However they can hardly be called compact, as their dimensions are big for a jacket’s pocket. A new ultra compact printer Pivi MP-300 by Fujifilm measures just 146x102x29 mm and weighs 225 g! The maximum size of the print makes up 86x54 mm (not that much), but still it is good for a memory photo.

Printing resolution is 254 dpi, the connection to the source (a mobile phone, a PDA or a notebook) runs via built-in IrDA or USB interface. The new product is expected to have a $150 price tag.

Author: Verà Kozlova     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Nokia has announced the start of shipments of its Nokia N72smartphone. This model has been recently unveiled, late in April at Nokia Open Studio. This is the first device in the NSeries with an “image” component.

Other extras include music component, XpressMusic label and photo functionality (however less impressive than other two models announced together with Nokia N72). The device is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, an integrated music player with music buttons and an FM-radio.

The company started shipments to main world markets, including Russia.
