Nokia’s subsidiary Vertu releasing high-end exclusive phones has extended its portfolio with Vertu Constellation collection. The series is designed for those who travel much and likes comfort at the same time.

Like other Vertu handsets the Constellation series is made of elite materials. The lineup includes 7 models differing in material of the shell – stainless steel or gold, black, beige, dark brown or rose leather. The keyboard is made of ceramics applied in spaceship construction, with florescence effect.

Vertu Constellation support quad band GSM and have currency converter and world clock, displaying time at 3 different points simultaneously. Vertu Concierge service supplied with the phones provides individual service for the owners round the clock. By pressing a single button the user can be connected with the required service, for example, phones settings help, seat reservation in a restaurant, opera tickets, hotel reservation and so on. The phones of the series will be provided by 300 official distributors in 40 countries late in October 2006.

The mobile phone concept Sony Ericsson Black Diamondhas really come to life, however currently it’s an exclusive, which will be available next year. It was announced at V as the limited edition of 5 units. The price tag reveals $300,000.

This is a smartphone powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 running on an Intel 400 MHz processor.

The Black Diamond is equipped with a 2” TFT 262K color LCD, a 4-megapixel camera, 128 MB RAM and an expansion slot for SD cards. The keyboard represents a sensor panel. It can works in GSM cell and wireless Wi-Fi networks. The phone will be commercially available in the beginning of 2007.

ASUSTeK Computer has introduced its mobile phone ASUS V80. This is a 2-megapixel camera phone positioned as a slim solution. It has flash, auto focus, video capture and macro mode till 10 cm. There is the support of printing via Bluetooth. ASUSTeK says this is one of the slimmest phones on the market with such photo functionality.

The device is equipped with an FM tuner, am MP3-player and an expansion slot for miniSD cards. There are quick access buttons to operate the player and the radio. It supports QR Code barcode recognition, popular in Japan and South Korea.

Nokia has also announced the shipments of another smartphone from the Nokia Open Studioevent in April – Nokia N73. it is also equipped with a 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, but without optical zoom. /P>
