Cornice, the company dealing with data storage solutions, has unveiled its new product, a hard disk drive of the Dragon series with 12 GB onboard and in 1” form-factor. According to the company, this is the slimmest HDD with such specs.

It is meant for mobile phones, compact media players, game devices and so on. The mass shipments will start in 3Q. I’d remind you that the Dragon series already consists of 8 GB and 10 GB drives.

Sony has unveiled its new MP3-player called S2 Sports Walkman. Given its name the device is sport oriented. The player features sport-related functions.

For example, there is Music Pacer function based on Sony G-Sensor technology. Music Pacer tracks the user speed, tempo and acceleration and automatically switches to the respective play list. Besides there is a pedometer, counter of distance and spent calories. By the way it can remember info of 7 exercises, so you can track the progress.

It’s a flash MP3-player available in two versions – the NW-S203F with 1GB onboard and the NW-S20F with 2GB. There is the support of AAC (not DRM), MP3, WMA (not DRM) and ATRAC music formats. It comes with an FM-tuner. Its battery ensures up to 18 hours of music playback. The info on the LCD can be adjusted either right-handed or left-handed.

The sales are set for September. The recommended price makes up $120 for a 1GB version and $150 for a 2GB version. Already now you can make a pre-order at Sony online shop.

If you trace rumors in the internet, you might know pretty well HTC Excalibur smartphone with the QWERTY-keyboard. Recently we’ve posted frontal and life photos of the device.

Engadget Mobile site has posted an image of the Excalibur from all sides. Anyway we can’t be sure this isn’t another fake created with Photoshop, but very often such “leaked” images turn to be true.

The info on the new Nikon SLR camera has been roaming the net for long time, so the main specs and the picture of it aren’t a secret. But the official announcement of Nikon D80 has taken place only today.

The new SLR camera is equipped with a 10.2-megapixel matrix, supports SD and SDHC storage cards, 30 – 1/4000 c exposure range, ISO100 to ISO3200 photosensitivity. The camera comes with EN-EL3e battery. It weighs 585 g and measures 132x77x103 mm.

The sales will start in September at the recommended price $1040. Besides you can buy the camera with the lens – there are two kits – with DX Zoom-Nikkor ED 18-135 mm F3.5-5.6 G (IF) (about $1400) and with AF-S Zoom-Nikkor ED 18-70mm F3.5-5.6 G (IF) ($1300).

Besides the company has also announced the accessory MB-D80, so you can use several batteries with the camera. The price tag is $180.

Casio has announced a new digital camera Exilim Card EX-S770 of the Exilim Card ultra slim series. It is equipped with a 7.2-megapixel CCD-sensor, 3x optical zoom and a 2.8 widescreen LCD.

One of the key peculiarities is the capability to record 16:9 widescreen video, in addition to customary VGA-resolution. There is image digital stabilization function for video recording.

Measuring 88.4x56.9x20 mm (18 mm in the slimmest place) it weighs 112 g. The EX-S770 is expected in shops in September. The recommended price makes up $379.99. There will be 3 color solutions – Silver, Red and Black.
