Author: Klimov Oleg   Source: akihabaranews.com     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The release of Core 2 Duo processors on Merom kernel affected the price level for mobile PC based on previous generation CPU. I mean the notebooks based on Core Duo, they are already available for $1000 or less in many countries. For example, in Korea Haseenote introduced its JIVE W205R for ˆ830.

The new model features Intel Core Duo T2050 (1.66 Hz) processor, ATI Radeon Xpress 200M chipset, 1 GB RAM, 12” widescreen LCD (1280x800), 80 GB SATA HDD, multi-format DVD-recorder and 1.2 kg of weight! Quite an interesting offer.
