LG releases new mini-slider LG-SC300

The South Korean company LG Electronics releases its new mobile phone in the slider form-factor with various multimedia functions.
The SC300 in closed mode looks more like an MP3-player than a phone. There is the support of MP3, AAC and AAC+. Besides there is MOD function (Music On Demand), external memory on T-Flash cards and Text-To-Speech function. In its compact shell is a 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture opportunity.

Motorola Q communicator at Verizon site

Soon a long-awaited slim communicator Motorola Q will probably be available from the US operator Verizon Wireless. Its image with the opeator’s logo has been seen by the authors of Qusers.com blog, devoted to Motorola Q, at the test page of Verizon site.
I’d remind you the communicator was announced last autumn. Soon after the New Year there were rumors that the release was cancelled, and then the company set the release date – April.

Samsung has introduced another slim mobile phone – the SCH-V890/SPH-V8900 under the code name SKIN. This is a slider, 13.8 mm thick. The company positions it as the slimmest slider. Besides the model has light weight – mere 85 g.
The SCH-V890/SPH-V8900 is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera and supports Bluetooth interface. The device is meant for the Korean market and focused at the women auditorium. The phone has the function of electronic dictionary and direct printing. The expected price makes up 500 thousand Won, i.e. about $525.

Samsung developed the first 2GB MMCmicro card

Samsung Electronics has announced its another record achievement – the company says it developed the first 2GB MMCmicro card for mobile phones. The new MMCmicro card consists of 4 NAND-flash parts 4 Gbit each.
The card has small dimensions – 14x12x1.1 mm. A 2GB card can store about 12 hours of mobile video, 3 hours of video can be downloaded for 2 minutes.
Three months ago the company introduced its 1GB MMCmicro card. Samsung said the 1GB card would be available during 2006, but didn’t unveil the release date of the 2GB model.
