The Chinese website PConline.com.cn has posted the photos and some details of not yet announced Sony Ericsson mobile phone with the index 123.

There is little info so far. As far as I could decipher from Chinese, this is a mid-range clamshell with the functions similar to the Z530, though they have quite different design. The model is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom. Besides there supposed to be a slot for M2 cards (Memory Stick Micro).

Samsung developed a 2-megapixel camera for mobile phones 5 mm thick    [ 17-04-2006 12:10 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The fashion for ultra slim mobile phones gets stronger, at the same time ultra slim phones require ultra slim details, camera modules in particular. Samsung Electro-Mechanics has developed a 2-megapixel camera module, which is 4.5 mm thick, so it will be possible to make slim-phones with high camera resolution.

I’d remind you than the etalon of slimness, Motorola RAZR V3 is equipped with just a VGA-camera. As a matter of fact, there are currently models with more advanced cameras. But still users have to choose between advanced specs, including the camera, and the slimness.

The new module can be applied in future most slim models – handsets, which are 4.5-5 mm thick. The full size of the module is 78x8x4.5 mm. We could appreciate the quality of such photos only in practice.
