The latest Android numbers are out and the story this month is that Froyo is still king of the heap, despite Gingerbread having been released.
Froyo holds a very commanding 61.3% share of all Android devices Google tracks. Gingerbread on the other hand has been making some inroads, with the 2.3.3 version having managed to attain a 1% share in only a single month.
Honeycomb is a new entry to the chart ... er list with a 0.2% share, but one has to remember that it's pretty much restricted to tablets and there is really just one device officially running it at the moment. This figure will no doubt increase as 2011 sees a glut of Android tablets released.
Older versions of Android are still present too with Eclair retaining a respectable 30% share and Donut managing to hold onto 4.8%. It's perhaps a little worrying for Google to see that so many users are still using these older versions, especially with Gingerbread out and Ice Cream on the way in the not too distant future

You remember the HTC Pyramid right? Well for those who don't it first popped into rumour land before MWC last month and the buzz was that it was some sort of 'superphone'. Purported specifications included a 1.2 GHz processor, 4G connectivity and a 4.3 inch screen.
Anyhoo a picture, or more accurately a render, of the device has appeared on Chinese site XDA.cn.
XDA are saying that the device will indeed come with the afore mentioned processor and screen, but they are also saying that it will ship with Android 3.0. That's where the rumour breaks down a bit since Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb is meant for tablets.
As ever with these sort of things keep that pinch of salt at the ready.

One of the things I always love about films set in the future is seeing what predictions about technology they make. One place that you might not expect to find an exciting, and downright awesome, view of the future is in a corporate video, but Corning's 'A Day Made of Glass' does just that.
Make sure you watch this folks!
