AT&T Galaxy S II Revealed    [ 26-07-2011 19:00 ]

Author: Serge Novikov   Source: BGR     Translation by: Paul Smith    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

BGR have got their hand son some images of the AT&T variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II. The images show the device to still be relatively thin even with the addition of a QWERTY keyboard. The backingplate has a bit of an industrial vibe to it with its textured surface. The release date is expected some time next month although it is unknown whether the handset will be known as under T&T's own branding as was the case with the original Galaxy S.

HTC Puccini Pictures Leaked    [ 26-07-2011 18:29 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: BGR     Translation by: Paul Smith    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

BGR have been on top form today, not only scoring some pictures of AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S II, but also HTC's first 10 inch tablet. The device, codenamed Puccini, will feature an 8 MP camera with dual-LED flash and stereo speakers. Stylus input is also supported, just like the HTC Flyer.

There isn't much else to go on in terms of the specs alas although there had been some previous chatter that the device would be powered by a 1.5 GHz processor and be running Honeycomb. It seems likely that HTC will slap on their Sense UI and there's a good chance it will also feature 4G support.

As for when this little sweetheart will be on sale, well that, along with the price tag, is something you will just have to wait for.

RIM Saying New OS 7 Devices Tomorrow    [ 26-07-2011 18:22 ]

Author: Serge Novikov   Source: RIM     Translation by: Paul Smith    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

RIM have been busy tweeting today and the news is good if you're a BlackBerry fan (I think there are still some left). Tomorrow will apparently usher in some new BlackBerry OS 7 devices and RIM are saying to keep your peepers open for them.

RIM confirmed seven new BlackBerry OS 7 devices at their general meeting. The devices are thought to include the Torch 9810, Torch 9850/60, Curve 9350/60, Bold 9790 and the Bold 9900/30. Of course these devices have been talked about before, but it's not the same as seeing them uncovered officially. It's also fair comment that RIM needs to getthese devices out the door pronto given their lacklustre performance of late. Mind you rushing handsets out is exactly one of the criticisms the anonymous exec who wrote an open letter to RIMlast month mentioned as being a deep flaw in the company's strategy at the moment.
