Samsung Confirms Nexus Prime (Sort Of)    [ 26-08-2011 18:23 ]

Author: Serge Novikov   Source: Geek.com     Translation by: Paul Smith    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The cat is offically out of the bag with regards to the Nexus Prime. Smsung have, in a roundabout way, confirmed that the handset does indeed exist and they are building it. The confirmation came in a legal notice obtained by Geek.com. The letter says:

It has come to our attention that you are wrongfully in possession of, and intend to release or otherwise publicly disclose without Samsung's consent, firmware for the Nexus Prime. The Nexus Prime firmware is the exclusive property of Samsung and/or its partners, suppliers and affiliates.

The letter is signed by Samsung's General Counsel, Bryan Hopkins. The actual name has been blanked out on the letter though. Even so the letter lays it down flat, Samsung is indeed building said handset.

HTC Sense 3.5 Screenshots Leak    [ 26-08-2011 18:00 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: XDA.cn     Translation by: Paul Smith    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Remember those leaked shots of the HTC Bliss we posted? Also remember that the Bliss is suppsoed to be running the latest version of HTC's Sense UI? Well here we have a couple of screenshots of the new UI. First thing to notice are the two dedicated buttons at the bottom left and right of the screen. The one on the left is to pull up the app menu whilst the right hand button is for the phone functionality. There are some other minor changes too, such as an updated weather widget, which is now larger than before. The really exciting news though is that HTC are said to have removed the restrictions that limited version 3.0 of Sense to the higher end products in HTC's portfolio.
