Hot on the heels of the beta version released recently, it has been announced that the full version of Angry Birds will make its way to the Android Market within the next two or three weeks. Angry Birds has long been a firm favourite on the iPhone and the free beta version released for Android has also proven a huge hit. Indeed the iPhone version has seen more than 7 million downloads.
The Android version works on devices running Eclair (Android 2.1) and above, and which also have at least a screen with VGA resolution. "We are currently working hard to ensure that Angry Birds on Android will offer the best game experience for as many people as possible" the company said. Rovio are currently sorting out last minute glitches like lag issues on older Android devices as well as making sure the app will be fully compatible with QVGA resolutions.

Nokia are set to see another of their top brass depart with the news that Anssi Vanjoki has decided to resign from his position as head of mobile solutions at the company. The announcement comes just days after it was confirmed that Stephen Elop, a former executive at Microsoft, would become Nokia's new CEO.
Vanjoki's departure is generally regarded as being tied to the change in CEO, either that or he has shocking timing in announcing his departure from the company. In a statement Vanjoki said:
I felt the time has come to seek new opportunities in my life. At the same time, I am one hundred per cent committed to doing my best for Nokia until my very last working day. I am also really looking forward to this year's Nokia World and sharing news about exciting new devices and solutions.
