Paid Apps for webOS to Hit Europe This March    [ 04-01-2010 11:59 ]

Better late than never as the saying goes ... still the discrepancy betwene the American launch launch of paid apps for webOS and the European launch is noticeable. Palm's App catalogue began taking paid for submissions back in October Stateside, but Europeans will have to wait until March. Palm's app store has lagged behind other big hitters like Apple and Android with barely a thousand apps available. Of course the availability of paid apps should help to boost those numbers, but they still have a long way to go. The Pre itself has garnered somewhat mixed reviews; almost universal praise for webOS, but no small measure of criticism of the handset's build quality. A well stocked app store would help alleviate some of that criticism.
