Sony Ericsson haven't bene having a good time of it lately with Satio having been briefly pulled from sale, doubts been cast over Aino and the recent news that Satio pumps out more radiation than any other UK handset. However, one bright spot still shining for the company is the forthcoming X10, their first Android handset. Someone got Google Goggles up and running on it and it does look dashed smart! The huge screen really does it justice and remember Google Goggles is still a beta product! Take a peek at the video.

Although there have been rumours, hints and whispers for a while now this is the first piece of direct evidence that Microsoft is looking to bring Xbox Live to WinMo handsets. Redmond has posted up an advertisment looking for a 'Principal Program Manager' responsible for bringing 'Xbox Live enabled games to Windows Mobile'. The job listing also gives it away that Microsoft are focusing on 'avatar integration', 'social interaction' and 'multi-screen experiences'. Rather than answer questions though the advertisment seems to open many more up and no doubt we'll see a fair few column inches devoted to what Microsoft might be cooking up in this department.

The new year looks to be bringing an Android announcement with it. Google have set aside 5th January for a press conference, which most are taking to be the announcement of the Nexus One although Google themselves haven't officially said so. Of course a press conference on the eve of CES certainly has the making of a Nexus announcement. The invite sent out for the event reads "With the launch of the first Android-powered device just over a year ago, we've seen how a powerful, open platform can spur mobile product innovation, And this is just the beginning of what's possible". The Nexus One has become increasingly 'leaky' over the past week or two with pictures and videos cropping up everywhere, surely the announcement/launch can't be far off ...?
