The recently announced Sony Ericsson X10, the company's first Android device, has certainly been causing a fair bit of excitement amongst fans and with good reason, the specs list is pretty impressive. Sporting a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and a 4" capacitive touchscreen it's aiming to be one of the must have handsets of next year. That brings us nicely onto the main point of this post, the release date. So far all we've been hearing from Sony Ericsson is that the X10 would be released sometime in the 'first half' of next year, frankly that could have meant any time within a six month period. However, it looks like Sony Ericsson are now prepared to narrow that timescale down a bit and have given a release date of February for the UK. It's still not an exact date by any means, but it's better than what we had beore. So you have until February to save your pennies!
