Blackberry OpenGL Demo: PBA Bowling    [ 11-11-2009 16:43 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: IntoMobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

BlackBerrys aren;t usually thought of as gaming platforms, but with the advent of OpenGL support that might be about to change. At the moment Open GL support is only available on the Storm 2 and 8530, but the results look rather promising. Check out the video below where you cans ee a demo of Concrete Software's PBA Bowling running. Sega have also waded into the Blackberry OpenGL funtime by announcing that they're looking to bring perennial favourite Super Monkey Ball to the Storm 2. It's worth noting that whilst a lot of the attention will of course be on the 3D side of things, OpenGL does actually make some good efforts on the 2D side of things as well.

Remembrance Day Mobile Theme    [ 11-11-2009 16:28 ]

Author: Ivanov Konstantin   Source: TehkSeven     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Today is Remembrance Day in the UK, other countries may know it as Armistice Day or Veterans Day. It is on this day that we remember and pay our respects to those who have served in times of war, many of whom laid down their lives to ensure that we remain free. To commemorate this day TehkSeven have launched a Poppy theme for various mobile phones including Nokia E Series devices, Symbian 5th Edition handsets and Sony Ericsson handsets. Head on over to their site and see if your device is included and wear your Poppy theme with pride.

Lest We Forget.
